Ethics

Health Research and Ethics within the Centre for Epidemiology and Research is responsible for developing, communicating, implementing and evaluating policies, frameworks and guidelines to ensure that ethical considerations are given proper weight in medical and clinical practice and research within the NSW public health system.

Health Research and Ethics acts as a resource centre and source of advice to clinicians, researchers and Human Research Ethics Committees (HRECs) regarding ethical matters and provides secretariat services to major ethics-related committees.
