Connecting Innovation and Technology for Better
Health
The NSW IM&T Strategy is providing Critical Systems for
Clinicians. This means delivering comprehensive patient information
to clinicians, consumers and health executives across NSW
to assist in the provision of expert patient care, improved
work practices and informing consumers about their healthcare.
The Strategic Information Strategy (SIM) is collaborating with Area Health Services (AHS) executives and clinicians,
drawing on their expertise and experience to create opportunities
to reduce errors, lower costs, provide better care and increase
access to health care.
By studying current needs and trends in clinical care
and demographics, collaborating with the Clinical Redesign
Program, Business Information Strategy and Quality and Safety initiative, SIM is providing
the strategy to plan IT solutions to quickly resolve current
issues and with the flexibility and reliability to support
future new programs. Our goal is to respond quickly to
changes and give health providers the solution they need to
adopt improved patient care techniques, change work practices
and easily link patient information and diagnostic tools.
SIM is committed to providing solutions for better coordinated
care, integrated information and high quality patient care.
