Join the Multicultural Family Lunchbox Challenge!
From 2 to 8 September, Multicultural Health Week 2024 is celebrated across NSW with the theme: Celebrate culture through food with multicultural family lunchboxes
A healthy lunch can help you and your family have plenty of energy to work, learn and play during the day.
We’re excited to announce the youth-led lunchbox video competition, encouraging young people to create or recreate family lunchboxes inspired by their cultural and family traditions. We invite high school students across NSW to make videos featuring themselves and their family members preparing tasty and healthy lunchboxes - incorporate extra vegetables and fruits, showcase creative ways of using leftovers, and draw inspiration from chef and Multicultural Health Ambassador Adam Liaw's recipes and video, Adam Liaw's Multicultural Family Lunchboxes.
Competition Details:
- Who: all NSW High School students and also NOW OPEN to Year 6 NSW primary school students.
- Opens: Monday 2nd September
- Closes: Friday 4th October at 5:00 pm
- What: Create a video featuring you and your family preparing a nutritious lunchbox
This initiative is organised in partnership with the Multicultural Health Communication Service (MHCS) and the Prevention Education and Research Unit (PERU).
