Health Check DVD: Health information for recently arrived African communities in Australia

This resource provides recently arrived African communities with clear information about health checks and procedures in Australia.
Through drama sequences the video answers the following questions:

What is a Medicare Card and where can it be used?
What does Bulk Billing mean?
Why is it important to have your children immunised?
Why is it important to wash your hands with soap?
Why is it important to arrive on time to see the doctor?
How do you call for an ambulance in an emergency?
The DVD can be viewed in either English, Dinka, Kirundi, Swahili, Krio, Juba Arabic or Liberian Pidgin English and runs for approx 16 minutes.
