Breast Cancer and Family History

Most women who are diagnosed with breast cancer don’t have a family history of the disease. Breast cancer is a common disease which is largely associated with increasing age. Developing breast cancer does not mean you have necessarily inherited a faulty gene, or that you will pass it on to your children. The earlier a cancer is detected, the greater the likelihood of successful treatment.
